Whether you purchase your auto insurance policy by phone, online or in person, you can save yourself some time by having the following documents and information handy:
Registration certificate or "green slip" for each vehicle you want to insure
Drivers licence numbers for all drivers in your household (including drivers you don't plan to insure)
Current auto insurance policies for all drivers in your household
Vehicle lien holder or lessor name and address
Certificate/documentation for a driver education program or motorcycle safety course completed by any driver within the last 3 years
Payment information: Visa/MasterCard, cheque, automatic withdrawal from chequing, or cash (Visa* or MasterCard is required if you buy online)
Your reference number (if you completed an online quote)
Your RBC Insurance® policy number (if you're a current customer)
Your email address (optional unless you want to buy online)
