Q: Who is eligible for a group home and auto insurance plan?
A: Our group home and auto insurance is available to employee groups of 300 or more, or professional associations with 1,000 or more members. Auto insurance is not available in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and British Columbia as a result of government-run auto insurance plans.
Q: How much will my employees or association members pay for an RBC Insurance home or auto insurance plan?
A: Each person will be issued his or her own policy. That policy will reflect preferred group pricing that takes into account the individual's unique insurance needs, as well as the numerous discount opportunities that we offer (discounts may vary by province).
Q: How can my employees or members reduce their rates even more?
A: We offer numerous savings opportunities for our home and auto insurance policyholders.
First, they may be able to save up to 5% just by taking a few minutes to request a quote online. Even if they don't purchase their policy online, they'll still get the discount†. We also offer numerous other discounts for which your employees may qualify.
Q: Will I have to pay any portion of the premiums for my employees' or association members' policies?
A: Group home and auto insurance is a voluntary plan, so you are not responsible for any premiums. Those employees or association members that participate will pay their own premiums, at discounted rates.
Q: How much will I have to budget for administrative costs?
A: Not a cent. RBC Insurance handles all aspects of your program, including marketing support, sales and servicing.
Q: Do I have to offer my employees or association members a group home and auto insurance plan?
A: Providing a group insurance program is an optional benefit you can offer to your employees or members. Once you implement the plan, it is up to each employee or association member to decide whether he or she will participate.
Q: How will my employees or members benefit from a group home and auto insurance plan?
A: They'll experience three key benefits:
- Preferred group rates on their home and auto insurance
- Additional discount opportunities that have helped some policyholders save as much as $2,000 in total annually (discounts may vary by province)
- Outstanding service and personalized advice from our licensed insurance advisors, dedicated call centre, and 24/7 claims centre
Q: How will my organization benefit from a group home and auto insurance plan?
A: If you run a business, quality insurance at preferred rates can be a generous addition to your employee benefits package—which in turn can help you attract and retain the best employees.
If you lead a professional association, this is the kind of benefit that can attract new members and entice current members to stay on board.
† The Online Discount is not available in all provinces, and where available varies by province, type of insurance, renewal term, and auto plan membership. Other exclusions and limitations also apply.
