How do I make a claim?

Q: How long can I receive a benefit?

A: You can receive money for a hospital stay of up to 365 days.

Q: If I die while hospitalized, who will receive the benefits?

A: Your estate.

Q: Can I enrol my spouse later?

A: Yes, you can contact us to enrol your spouse at any time.

Q: Can I enrol my children later?

A: Yes, you can contact us to enrol your children at any time.

Q: Are all my children covered for one monthly amount?

A: Yes.

Q: I'm not married to my partner. Is he/she covered?

A: As long as you've been living with your partner for at least one year, he or she can be covered too.

Q: Does my plan provide coverage outside Canada?

A: Yes, the coverage is worldwide. However, it's important for you to know that the RoyalRecoverAssist insurance plan is not travel insurance. RBC Insurance offers travel insurance separately.

Q: Can I get this plan at my branch?

A: RoyalRecoverAssist is not available through your local RBC Royal Bank branch. It's available over the phone.

Q: How do I make a claim?

A: It's easy. Just call the toll-free number on your certificate and tell us that you have a claim. We'll send you a simple form to complete and help you understand what to do.
