For example, if you are hospitalized for five days, you could receive up to $200 per day, plus a lump-sum payment of $1,000. Your total payment would be $2,000, tax-free. You are on: Enhanced Coverage (Accidents & Illness) Receive a tax-free benefit if you are hospitalized due to an accident or illness(4).If you are hospitalized because of an accident or illness, Royal RecoverAssist Enhanced Coverage pays you a tax-free benefit of up to $200 a day for each day of hospitalization, to a maximum of 365 days per condition. For example, if you are hospitalized for five days, you could receive up to $200 per day for a total of $1,000, tax-free. |

2) Acceptance is guaranteed if you meet the following conditions: You are a current customer of any RBC® company, you are between the ages of 18 and 70, and you are a Canadian resident. You may also enrol your spouse if he or she is between the ages of 18 and 74.
3) RBC Insurance® will pay your first month's premium.
4) There is an elimination period of 3 days before benefits are paid if you are hospitalized as a result of illness. This means that if you are hospitalized as a result of illness for 3 days or less, no benefit will be paid.
