Choosing the Right Coverage

Choose the Coverage You're
Comfortable With

You don't want to pay for more insurance coverage than you need. At the same time, you don't want to compromise on your coverage, just to save on your premiums.

That's why we offer a range of choices, allowing you to personalize your insurance to suit your needs.

Choose your coverage

You can protect your home against most unexpected situations - or you can choose the coverage that protects you against only the most likely causes of loss. However, your home is probably the biggest investment you will ever make in your lifetime. That's why most people prefer to protect themselves against all possibilities.

If you have some particularly valuable pieces of jewellery, artwork or other items such as furs, you may want to have them specifically listed (or scheduled) in your policy to ensure that you are fully protected.

However, if you don't have many personal belongings, or if you can afford to absorb the loss of items like jewellery, artwork, stereo equipment or computers, you can choose a lower level of coverage on your personal belongings.

Choose your deductible

When you experience a loss, you will likely have to pay a small portion of the total claim, while your policy pays the rest. This is known as a deductible. The deductible you choose will affect your premium.

Choosing the Right Coverage

Property insurance can help safeguard your financial future. That's why even tenants and condominium unit owners should have coverage.
