This insurance covers the traveller while they are a passenger on their scheduled airline flight or, while at the airport departing or arriving for a flight. For a very low premium the traveller can be covered for up to $100,000 in the event of accidental death or injury. This insurance covers belongings against loss, theft or damage, while flying, taking a bus, or train, or travelling with a tour company. The benefit is up to $2,000 in coverage against loss or damage to baggage and personal effects owned and used during the trip. Additionally, this insurance will reimburse the traveller up to $300 to help replace lost travel documents. This insurance can provide coverage for loss or damage to a rental car anywhere in the world. Coverage is up to $50,000 if a vehicle which the traveller has rented is stolen, or damaged. A unique plan for friends or family members (84 years of age and younger) coming to visit, new immigrants waiting for their government health insurance plan coverage, visitors travelling on a work permit or student visa, or Canadians not eligible for health plan coverage. There are three plan options with varying benefits of Emergency Medical Insurance and Travel Accident Insurance: Visitor Plan I, Visitor Plan II and Visitor Plan III.
