RBC Insurance has created four RBC Insurance Guaranteed Investment Portfolios by selecting leading RBC Asset Management mutual funds. The portfolios are reviewed and rebalanced as required by RBC Insurance, based on recommendations from the RBC Investment Strategy Committee, headed by RBC Asset Management Chief Investment Officer Dan Chornous. Working with your advisor, you can choose the right RBC Insurance Guaranteed Investment Portfolio to suit your needs.
RBC CONSERVATIVE GIP*
Target Allocation**
A suitable choice for you if: You want to combine modest income and modest capital growth with reasonable capital preservation, and are comfortable with moderate fluctuations in the value of your investments. The portfolio will invest primarily in fixed-income securities with some stocks to achieve more consistent performance and provide a reasonable amount of safety. This portfolio is right for you if you plan to hold your investment for the medium to long term.
RBC BALANCED GIP
Target Allocation**
A suitable choice for you if: You’re seeking balance between long-term capital growth and capital preservation, with a secondary focus on modest income, and are comfortable with moderate fluctuations in the value of your investments. More than half the portfolio will usually be invested in a diversified mix of Canadian, U.S. and global stocks. This portfolio is right for you if you plan to hold your investment for the medium to long term.
RBC GROWTH GIP
Target Allocation**
A suitable choice for you if: You seek long-term growth over capital preservation and regular income, and are comfortable with considerable fluctuations in the value of your investments. This portfolio primarily holds a diversified mix of Canadian, U.S. and global stocks and is suitable for you if you plan to invest for the long term.
RBC AGGRESSIVE GROWTH GIP
Target Allocation**
A suitable choice for you if: You’re seeking maximum long-term growth over capital preservation and regular income, and are comfortable with significant fluctuations in the value of your investments. This portfolio is almost entirely invested in stocks and emphasizes exposure to international equities. Invest in this portfolio only if you have a high risk tolerance and plan to hold your investments for the long term.
