However some of the other items may need to be better explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"mar-b-hlf mob-mar-b-hlf\">Pharmacist\u2019s receipts must provide you with an itemized receipt that includes three distinct components of the total cost of each prescription drug. These include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list  list-core-block second-level-inherit third-level-inherit\">\n<li>The cost price of the medication paid by the pharmacists<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The wholesalers fee is the extra amount charged to distributor when selling the drug to the pharmacy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The pharmacists professional fees and this includes dispensing fee, operating expenses, preparation and verification of the medication, and\/or other fees charged by the pharmacists<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"mar-t-hlf mob-mar-t-hlf mar-b-hlf mob-mar-b-hlf\">Also included on the receipts are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list list-core-block second-level-inherit third-level-inherit is-style-blue-disc\">\n<li><strong>DIN:<\/strong>&nbsp;Refers to the Drug Identification Number. This number uniquely identifies all drug products in Canada.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>RGAM Price:<\/strong>&nbsp;it is equal to the price payable by the RAMQ for the drugs included on the RAMQ list and does not include professional fees and applies only to the cost of the medication and the amount paid to the distributor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Insurer Amount:<\/strong>&nbsp;the amount payable for your prescription is determined by your insurer, based on your plan\u2019s coverage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Contributions of the Insured:<\/strong>&nbsp;This is the amount not covered, or refused by your insurer.
