This plan provides unlimited protection against eligible emergency medical expenses for travellers 65 years of age or older(1). Visitors to Canada Plan

A unique plan for visiting friends or family members (84 years of age and younger), new immigrants waiting for government health insurance plan coverage, visitors travelling on a work permit or student visa, or Canadians not eligible for government health insurance plan coverage. There are three plan options with varying benefits of Emergency Medical Insurance and Travel Accident Insurance:

Package Upgrade

If you are purchasing a Deluxe Package, Non-Medical Package or Travel within Canada Package and want even more coverage, you can purchase this rider, which provides additional coverage for special events and a range of enhanced benefits.

Benefit Description
Transportation on Same Class Ticket Benefit This covers the transportation benefits for the same class transportation instead of economy class.
Subsistence Allowance Benefit Increase Increases your subsistence allowance benefit to a maximum of $5,000 (with a daily maximum of $500) provided under Emergency Medical Insurance and Trip Cancellation & Interruption Insurance.
Entertainment Benefit If delayed beyond the scheduled return date, this insurance covers up to $100 for entertainment expenses to attend a ticketed event, such as a musical show, theatrical play or sports game.
Special Event Benefit This insurance covers you if you are planning to attend a scheduled event such as a wedding, sporting event or conference, and your departure is delayed. It will cover up to $600 for additional transportation costs of an alternate route, on a scheduled carrier, to the planned destination so you can arrive on time.
Increase Delay of Baggage & Personal Effects Benefit Increases the maximum sums payable under Baggage & Personal Effects Insurance up to $750.
