Uninsured motorists
This coverage provides benefits to you or your family if you’re injured or killed by an uninsured or unidentified driver.
It also helps pay for damages to your ATV if they’re caused by an unidentified or uninsured motorist.
Accident benefits
If you’re injured in an accident, this coverage helps to replace lost income or pay for medical and other expenses not covered by government health insurance.
It can also provide benefits to your spouse or partner and dependent children if you are killed in an accident.
(Coverage is optional in Quebec and Newfoundland)

Eligible ATVs
All sport utility and side-by-side ATVs are eligible for coverage through RBC Insurance, except for what’s listed below.
The following ATVs are not eligible for coverage:
- Children’s ATVs under 200cc
- ATVs over 1000cc
- ATVs modified for performance
- ATVs valued over $50,000, including accessories but excluding tax
- ATVs that are used for business or commercial use
- Three wheeled ATVs
- Dune Buggies (these typically have automobile parts installed)
- Vehicles where all operators do not hold a valid driver’s license
